I thought I would repost this article. Has anyone on the vine gotten into this series? I like it pretty well, even though it is somewhat predictable, but then again there are only so many plots and so many twists and turns you can add to plots. We are almost done with the second season, and of course, it is getting pretty interesting. Some in the story are with the resistance and some are collaborators. The collaborators do so for various reasons, some just because they got caught doing something the "Aliens" and their human "Helpers" forbade them from doing, such going to another section of the city, outside of the sector wall. Some were recruited by the "Aliens" and they were the most despicable of our species. They still had no choice in the matter though, as they were told that if they did not cooperate, their families would be killed.
So, the question remains. Would you be a resistance fighter or a collaborator? Your answer will depend on how you look at the situation, and remember this is an exercise in thought. There is no correct answer, but I or others may offer points of view you haven't considered. Have fun and remember to be courteous to each other in your comments.
I was thinking about something today and I decided to put it out on Newsvine and see what you all thought of this. Did any of you get into the series "Colony" on the USA Network? The setting is in California, America, current circa. "Aliens" have taken over California, maybe the rest of the world and country, but we only see what concerns California. We never really see the "Aliens" until the first season is almost over. Everyone in the story takes a side, either to collaborate or to resist. So, which side would you be on if you were in that situation? Have fun with this and please remember, be courteous to one another in your comments.
